Jøsok’s independent role means that the company is frequently used by both developers and contractors.

Our relationship with Jøsok is twofold. We often encounter them as the client’s representative in projects where we are the contractor. In other projects, we make use of their expertise, but then as a subcontractor and adviser for our projects,’ says Oddgeir Anundsen, head of markets and business development at Kraftmontasje.

The company was established in the mid-1990s and is one of Norway’s leading power line contractors. Its head office is at Vestnes in Romsdalen, across the fjord from Molde.

‘Jøsok has been part of this market for as long as our company has existed. We were formed in 1995 and have always worked well together, regardless of whether they represent the client or act as adviser in one of our projects,’ says Anundsen.

Ever since its formation in 1974, Jøsok has cultivated its independent role, with no ties to operators in the energy transmission market. This unique position allows the company to offer its expertise and services to all operators in the market. Anundsen explains that they know Jøsok well and use the company’s services in free competition with other consultancy groups.

‘We find Jøsok to be highly professional. They deliver services of a high standard and are very dedicated to their own area of expertise,’ says Anundsen.
