Always ahead of developments

With Jøsok on the team, Odda Energi Nett has always been at the forefront of social and industrial development.

– Odda is an area with a lot of heavy industry, which gives a large, and at times varying need for power and energy, says CEO of Odda Energi Nett AS, Per Bjarne Mosdal.

Both the industry, but also the rest of society in Hardanger, is therefore dependent on a robust power grid that can at all times deliver the power and energy that is in demand.

– Jøsok has for more than 30 years been an important partner for us in the planning and development of our power grid. With those on the team, we have always developed the power grid in both a socio-economic and appropriate way. It has been crucial for us to be able to develop a robust network with satisfactory delivery security and delivery quality, says Mosdal.

He says that Jøsok has made system assessments of existing networks and found any bottlenecks and improvement points. They have also planned and projected both modifications of existing networks and extensions.

– All assessments, analyzes and projects have ultimately been about how our network can be developed in the most socio-economic perspective possible, says Mosdal.

He also highlights Jøsok’s independent role as important.

– The advice they give us is not colored by interests. It is exclusively about professional assessments and what is in the best interests of society, says Mosdal.
